Fausto and Cinzia Cellario are third generation of winemakers in the village of Carrù, on the western outskirts of the Langhe hills in Piedmont. The farming is organic and sulphur is absent or added only in small quantities during the pressing or bottling. The wines are unfined and aged in big oak barrels, cement tanks or raw amphora.
Juicy cherry, watermelon and wild strawberry are accented by clean minerality and fresh acidity. Raspberry, a flash of licorice and a streak of bitterness linger on the lengthy finish. Silky, fresh and super gluggable.
